The students can get professional education in the humanitarian sphere. The Faculty is focused on the formation of general cultural, professional and universal competencies, the development of creative and intellectual potential, increasing the cultural standards of youth, on humanizing society and fostering patriotic feelings. The Faculty conducts active research work and occupies one of the leading places in the university research. Scientific conferences of different levels are held at the faculty. There are the student search squad “Resurrection”, the humanitarian club “Logos”, the political science club “Socrates”, the historical club “Chronos”, the literary club “Helikon”, the club “Journalist” and the movie club.

There are three departments at the faculty: General History; National History; Russian language, literature and journalism.
