THE STUDENTS OF MARI STATE UNIVERSITY MET WITH THE GERMAN REPRESENTATIVE OF THE COMPANY LOGO E.V.

On February 16 the meeting with the representative of Public Benefit Farmers Union LOGO e.V. Walter Florian Hollmann was held at Mari State University. Public Union LOGO cooperates with universities and other partners in Eastern Europe, Central Asia and the Caucasus, organizes practical trainings and seminars for future professionals in the field of ecological agriculture. The main goal of the Union LOGO is organizing internship for the young agricultural specialists of Eastern Europe and Central Asia in German ecological farms. The second selection for a summer internship in 2017 was launched in Russia on February 7. It will be held in Kaliningrad, Kostroma, Ivanovo, Penza, Volgograd, Moscow, Velikie Luki, Cheboksary, Saransk, Ufa, and Yoshkar-Ola. The Mari State University was chosen in farmers’ travelling plan not without reason as LOGO collaborates only with those universities, the priority of which is to train highly qualified specialists in various agricultural fields focused on obtaining ecologically clean production. Walter Florian Hollmann presented the program of the Union LOGO e.V. for the students. The requirements for the future farmers, who want to study agriculture in Germany, are as follows:  basic knowledge of the German language, elementary knowledge of profession, a broad outlook, and the desire to explore the world, to acquire additional knowledge and improve professional skills. The duration of internship lasts from 6 months to one year. Due to the agricultural training abroad, students have the possibility to improve their foreign language skills, to gain international experience, having studied the work of leading German agricultural enterprises, and to acquire new professional knowledge. At the end of the meeting Walter Hollmann interviewed 11 students of the Institute of Agricultural Technologies. Mr. Hollmann noted that the students of Mari State University met all the requirements, and he hoped for fruitful cooperation.
