After all, this festival of languages, which was held at Mari State University on February 20, clearly demonstrates the beauty of national languages, the uniqueness of traditions and customs of the peoples of the world.
The annual festival took place, as usual, on the International Mother Language Day and was held at the Mari State University with the support of the Republican Center for Mari Culture, as well as the Ministry of Culture, Press and Nationalities of the Republic of Mari El.
The journey through the unique language world began with the grand opening of the festival. Already here touching lines were heard dedicated to the native land, and songs hail from many corners of the world. Then the festival guests went to get acquainted with the sites, and this year more than 20 of them unfolded! Tajik, Uzbek, Hindi, Soninke, Russian, Mari, Chuvash ... Mari State University spoke these and many other languages, because the guests studied not only in theory, but also in practice.
Enthusiastic participants of the festival of various ages vied noted that today they were able to significantly replenish their luggage of knowledge, learn some simple phrases and even movements of national dances, try exotic dishes and learn about the details of the costume.
In a word, the goal of organizing the rapprochement of cultures and strengthening mutual understanding of their representatives can be considered successfully achieved!
