On April 17, Anatoly Nikolayevich Leukhin, Vice-Rector for Research and Innovation, Director of the Key University Development Program, conducted an online lecture on “Noise-like sequences and coding theory” for all comers.
The lecture was held in the format of a video conference in the Zoom program and it was devoted to the theory of coding and synthesis of signals, digital processing of complex signals, some issues of receiving and processing information, as well as to the study of the effectiveness of synthesized sequences in solving the main problems of signal processing in radio systems. Students and teachers of the MarSU, as well as students of the physics and mathematics class of the engineering orientation of Lyceum No. 28 of Yoshkar-Ola, became the audience of the lecture. Anatoly Nikolayevich spoke about the mathematical methods of digital processing of radar and radio navigation information used in aviation radar, mainly related to the radio technical support of civilian flights, as well as solving a number of tasks of the military-industrial complex of Russia.
Mari State University and its Engineering Center in the field of production of airborne radar systems for remote sensing of the Earth is an important and recognized scientific base for the creation of radar equipment by leading technical universities. For several years, MarSU has been cooperating with the Radiotechnical Institute named after Academician A.L. Mints, participating in the execution of state defense orders, the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology, the Yaroslavl School of Air Defense, the Public Joint-Stock Company Vimpel Interstate Joint-Stock Corporation and the Mari Machine-Building Joint-Stock Company.
MarSU is a fully equipped and prepared platform for research in the field of radiophysics, providing, in particular, the military-industrial complex of our country. In the future, it is planned to hold other lectures on radiolocation, so that university students interested in radiophysics can obtain the necessary theoretical knowledge in this field.
