From 22 to 25 September, for the first time in Russia, the XI International Conference on Sequences and Their Applications was held. The conference was organized by the St. Petersburg State Electrotechnical University "LETI" IN AND. Ulyanov (Lenin) and Mari State University. Previously, the conference was held in China, Australia, Canada, France, USA, South Korea, Norway and Singapore. In a pandemic, the conference was held remotely.
SETA is the leading international conference in the field of sequences and their applications for communications and cryptography. This forum, which brings together the most advanced representatives of the research communities in the above areas, covers all fundamental and computational aspects and the peculiarities of their implementation. The three-day conference program consisted of three invited speakers from France, Canada and Russia and 35 presentations of scientific articles. The general co-chairman of the conference was the vice-rector for scientific work and innovation activity of MarSU Anatoly Leukhin.
The conference covered the issues of aperiodic and periodic correlation of sequences, correlation and transformation of Boolean functions, multidimensional sequences, pseudo-random sequence generator, wireless communication, network coding and many others. As a result of the conference, the authors of the adopted extended abstracts were given the opportunity to publish the full article in a special issue of an international journal.
The fact that MarSU became one of the organizers of the prestigious scientific conference is not surprising. The university has significant experience in international cooperation: more than 30 foreign partner universities, and joint research and exchange programs are carried out with universities in Europe, America and Asia. In addition, one of the priorities of the university is the creation of a highly developed infrastructure for all types of scientific activities. On the basis of the university there is an Engineering Center for the production of on-board radar systems for remote sensing of the Earth. The work performed by the engineering center is of importance not only for the military-industrial complex, but also for the civilian industry.
