The first graduation of veterinarians at MarSU
On February 11, 2021, the state final certification of graduates of the Agrarian and Technological Institute with a degree in Veterinary Medicine took place. The commission included representatives of the Veterinary Committee of the Republic of Mari El, heads and leading specialists of regional stations for the fight against animal diseases and agricultural enterprises in the region. According to the results of the state examination, all graduates were awarded the qualification “Veterinarian” in the specialty 36.05.01 Veterinary medicine. The members of the state commission noted the high level of knowledge, skills and abilities that will help graduates to solve serious practical problems facing agribusiness enterprises.
As a reminder, in 2016 MarSU received a license to train highly qualified specialists "Veterinarian" in the specialty 36.05.01 Veterinary medicine. The university has developed an educational program for part-time training of veterinarians using a dual training system with a training period of 3 years and 6 months for students with specialized secondary education. The first students were practicing veterinary paramedics of the leading enterprises of the agro-industrial complex of the Republic of Mari El: SKHPK-SKHA (collective farm) "Pervoe Maya", LLC "Akashevskaya poultry farm", CJSC "Mariyskoye", CJSC PZ "Shoibulaksky".
Classes were held on weekdays 2-3 times a week in the evenings, as well as on Saturdays. The training used modern educational technologies, interactive simulators for practicing practical skills. Practicing veterinarians, well-known scientists and teachers of the best universities in Russia were involved in the implementation of the educational program, who passed on their knowledge and work experience to future specialists.
In 2021, the Agrarian-Technological Institute of MarSU for the specialty 36.05.01 Veterinary medicine is recruiting not only applicants with secondary vocational education for a program with a training period of 3 years 6 months; but also school graduates with secondary (complete) general education for an educational program in full-time and part-time education with a duration of study of 5 years 6 months, for which 23 budget places have been allocated. To enter this specialty, applicants must pass the exam in biology, Russian language, mathematics / chemistry / physics (optional).
