A delegation of the Consulate General of Turkmenistan in the Russian Federation (Kazan) visited MarSU

An important part of the visit was the meeting of Atadurdy Bayramov with the leadership and students of the Mari State University. The parties discussed the prospects for cooperation, including the exchange of students, mutual visits of the teaching staff of the universities of Turkmenistan and the Republic of Mari El. The Turkmen side proposed to the leadership of the MarSU to increase the number of budget places for citizens of Turkmenistan. The leadership of the MarSU expressed its readiness to double the available budget places for Turkmen citizens from the next academic year, while increasing these numbers annually.

Within the framework of the 2021 International Year of Peace and Confidence proclaimed in the UN at the initiative of President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, a football team of Turkmen students "Ynanyshmak" was created on the basis of MarSU, whose players were presented with football uniforms and equipment during the visit. After the presentation of the form, a friendly match was held between the "Ynanyshmak" team and the national team of MarSU, which ended with a score of 5: 5. The Consulate General also expressed its readiness to assist in the creation of a dance group of Turkmen students and a women's volleyball team on the basis of the university.
