"My MarSU" - whole university on your hand
The transition to content consumption from mobile devices has presented a new challenge to the university information infrastructure. A well-developed native app for Android or iOS is much more convenient than any optimized mobile site. Therefore, many universities, including MarSU, felt the need to release a specialized mobile application under their own brand and for the needs of the main user - the student.
By order of the Mari State University, the IT company Omega has developed a student's personal account for iOS and Android smartphones - "My MarSU".
How can the application help now? Keep up to date on the schedule of training sessions, details of the curriculum and university activities, monitor the results of midterm certification, monitor the receipt of scholarships, and also provides an opportunity to learn about additional ways to receive various types of incentives.
The key section of the application is the schedule. It is as informative as on the board of the faculty / institute timetable, and will help you to not forget about the room number and the name of the teacher. Did u get a rescheduled the lesson? You will get notified about it. And in your free time, you can search for interesting events in the "Events" tab.
Curriculum and electronic record. What subjects are to be studied, in what disciplines there will be credits and exams, how many hours are allotted for lectures, seminars, independent work, practice - the section of the curriculum will help plan student life for semesters and years of study. And when everything goes according to plan, the golden rule of the student's record books comes into play: "First you work for the student's record books, then she works for you." Also, the electronic record in the application will remind you of your academic achievements: the results of tests, exams, term papers, practices, etc.
A Guide to Student Finance. In the scholarships section, you can find out what scholarships and additional payments a student of MarSU can apply for: increased, social, personal, scholarships of the Government of Russia, the President of Russia, etc.
As part of the implementation of the "Priority 2030" program, it is planned to develop and expand the functionality of the application. So, for example, it will be possible to submit an application to the Multifunctional Student Center for registration of address and archival information, a reference-call for the employer, copies of documents from a personal file through “My MarSU”. He will also inform about all changes in the status of the application using push notifications.
