The Department for Research and Innovation congratulates Mari State University with the victory in the competition for grants of the Russian Science Foundation for the event "Conducting research by research teams under the guidance of young scientists" of the Presidential program of research projects by leading scientists, including young scientists.

The youth research group competition is related to supporting the new generation of scientific leaders. The Foundation provides grants for young PhDs and post-docs under the age of 35. More than 1,400 applications participated in the competition and 403 projects were supported by the Expert Council.
The Presidential Research Projects Programme was developed by the Foundation in 2017 on the instructions of Russian President Vladimir Putin; its main objectives are to support long-term projects of leading scientists and create career paths for promising young researchers. Since the programme was launched, the Foundation has supported more than 5,000 projects.
