Jean Monnet Module - The EU as a Model of Globalization: Experience, Values, Perspectives

On July 11, 2019, there was a master-class called “Getting to Know Europe”at the Olympiets sports and recreation camp of Mari State University on Lake Yalchik. It was held as a part of the summer school “Scientific Vacations”. It was attended by students of 8th grades of the State Autonomous Educational Institution of RME "Lyceum Baumansky".

On June 6, 2019, was the award ceremony under the supplementary training program “The EU as a Model of Globalization: Experience, Values, and Perspectives”. In 2019, it was successfully completed by 85 students and undergraduates who represent various institutes and faculties of the Mari State University.

May 30, 2019, as part of a round table for teachers of a foreign language, associate professor Romanova M.S. presented the report “Information and communication technologies in the EU-oriented teaching of foreign languages”. The event was dedicated to the integration of English teachers in the global educational space and was part of the business program of the II qualifying championship of the Mari State University according to the standards of the WorldSkills Young Professionals Union.

For the third consecutive year, thanks to a grant from Jean Monnet of the Erasmus + program at the Faculty of Foreign Languages, students of the “44.03.05. Pedagogy” are studying the course “The European Union as a model of globalization: experience, values, perspectives.” Another stream of third-year students began to study this discipline this semester.

2018 is the year of the volunteer in Russia. It is an actively developing movement in our country today that carries out socially significant activities when people strive for free to make the world around them better and kinder.

In October-November 2018, under the Jean Monnet Grant of the Erasmus + program, with the financial support of the European Union, was held the All-Russian online competition of creative works for students “European Union: Unity in Diversity”. Its purpose was to promote a tolerant attitude towards other cultures and peoples, to expand knowledge about the European Union as a whole, and the literary and artistic traditions of the EU member states.

On October 12, 2018 a master class was held on the topic “Integration of EU knowledge in the teaching of foreign languages ​​at school” for teachers at the Faculty of Foreign Languages at MarSU. It was attended by 30 teachers of the city and the Republic of Mari El, as well as teachers of the Faculty of Foreign Languages MarSU.

Federal State Budgetary Educational Institution of Higher Education “Mari State University” The Faculty of Foreign Languages holds the All-Russian online competition of creative works for high school students and students “EUROPEAN UNION: UNITY IN DIVERSITY” applications are accepted from October 1 to November 15, 2018.

On July 5, 2018, at the center Olympiets of Mari State University, as part of the Scientific Vacations specialized school associate professors Maria Romanova and Svetlana Romanova held a “Learn Europe” master class for students in grades 8 and 10 of the school "Lyceum No. 28 of Yoshkar-Ola."

On June 5, 2018, a ceremony was held at Mari State University to present certificates to students of additional education courses under the program “The European Union as a Model of Globalization: Experience, Values, Perspectives”.
