A step towards artificial intelligence
On November 25, the first lecture of the series of planned educational and general educational program "Artificial Intelligence: Start into the IT-Future" took place.
This is a joint educational project of Mari State University and the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Mari El.
More than four hundred people registered for the program, including Mari State University students, school teachers and Mari State University employees.
The students need this program to get basic knowledge for further mastering of the field of artificial intelligence and experience in working with datasets. This experience will allow them to participate in various research projects of the university and the region.
Teachers of university and teachers of school will be useful as improvement of professional skill and for reception of new skills of the decision of simple problems in the field of an artificial intellect.
A feature of the program is its practice-oriented and aimed at providing students with basic skills in the field of artificial intelligence.

The first lecture "The Fourth Industrial Revolution: what you need to know about it" was delivered by M. N. Shvetsov, Rector of Mari State University, Doctor of Economics, and M. N. Leukhin, Vice-Rector for Research and Innovation - Director of Development Program of the Supporting University. As a part of the lecture was discussed what Industry 4.0 is, what is included in the nine core technologies (big data and analytics, Internet of things, horizontal and vertical systems integration, autonomous robots, simulation modeling, augmented reality, cybersecurity, cloud computing, additive manufacturing), and how the development of new technologies changes our daily lives.
V. I. Toktarova, vice-rector for digital transformation and head of the project office, spoke. I. Toktarova gave a brief overview of the program content and spoke about the perspective of the training. Thus, this program is the first step in understanding artificial intelligence, end-to-end technologies and Python programming language. After successful completion of the program "Artificial Intelligence: Start into the IT-Future" we offer our students to take the next step and take the training program "Python for Everyone". The final, third step will be the Python 2.0: Advanced Immersion program.
Artificial Intelligence: A Start to the IT Future" training program will continue until December 13, 2021, and will conclude with a final certification.
