MARSU STUDENTS AND PROFESSORS WERE TRAINEDIN IRELAND
From 12 till 25 of March a group of students of years 1 to 3 and two professors of the Faculty of Foreign Languages undertook an internship at SWAN Training Institute (Dublin, Ireland), a private language school.
DELEGATION FROM CITY OF SAROV IN MARSU
From 23 to 24 of March there was a delegation from the city of Sarov (Nizhny Novgorod District) during their visit in MarSU. Among the guests were the Deputy Chairman of the city of Sarov Sergey Zhilkin, deputy director of the Education Department Vladislav Mukhin, directors of general educational institutions met with the head of the university.
OPEN DAY AT MarSU
On the 18th of March in Mari State University was held an Open Day. On this day the doors of the university were opened for the pupils, college students and their parents, as well as for anyone interested. There were stands of the university faculties and institutions, as well as university strategic partners (ZPP, Sportclub #1, N2 Mobile, Sernursky cheese factory) working in the foyer of the main building.
APPLICATION OF MARSU FOR PARTICIPATION IN THE CONTEST AMONG KEY UNIVERSITIES WAS SUPPORTED BY THE HEAD OF MARI EL
The application of MarSU was supported by the Head of the Mari El Republic Leonid Markelov, who had send a corresponding letter to the Ministry of Science and Education of the Russian Federation Olga Vasilyeva.
THE FIRST REPUBLICAN NIGHT FEST OF NATIONAL CULTURES “OPEN YOUR HEART TO THE WORLD!”
In 2013 only 20 international students studied at Mari State University, and 4 years later their number has increased tenfold. Today over 1000 students from 40 countries study at Mari State University. In this regard, “The Club of International Friendship” was created, the members of which launched an initiative to hold a night festival of national cultures.
THE RESULTS OF INTERNATIONAL ESSAY CONTEST "DIPLOMACY FOR PEACE" WERE SUMMARIZED AT MARI STATE UNIVERSITY
At Mari State University were summarized the results of International Essay Contest "Diplomacy for Peace" dedicated to the Diplomatic workers' day. The event was organized by the Department of Intercultural Communication of the Institute of National Culture and Intercultural Communication of the Mari State University together with the Representation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation in Yoshkar-Ola.
“LINGVA – TERRITORY” AT MARI STATE UNIVERSITY
The festival with such name took place at Mari State University on February 21. The date was selected not accidentally as the International Mother Language Day is celebrated on this day. Considering the fact that the representatives of 30 countries study at the University, each student has native language. The festival is the best place where you can demonstrate the beauty of native language, originality of traditions and customs.
THE STUDENTS OF MARI STATE UNIVERSITY MET WITH THE GERMAN REPRESENTATIVE OF THE COMPANY LOGO E.V.
On February 16 the meeting with the representative of Public Benefit Farmers Union LOGO e.V. Walter Florian Hollmann was held at Mari State University. Public Union LOGO cooperates with universities and other partners in Eastern Europe, Central Asia and the Caucasus, organizes practical trainings and seminars for future professionals in the field of ecological agriculture.
MEETING CONCERNING “ERASMUS PROGRAMME” WAS HELD IN MOSCOW
At the beginning of February on the basis of Moscow State University was held a meeting of consortium participants of a grand project “Development of Educational Modules on the Right for Pedagogical Training As A Contribution to the Formation of Educational System in Developing Countries” within the “Erasmus+: Capacity-building projects in the field of higher education” Program of the EU.
REGIONAL STAGE OF INTELLECTUAL GAME “WHAT? WHERE? WHEN?” HELD IN MARSU
On February 8 in classroom 422 in the main building of Mari State University was held an intellectual game «What? Where? When?» in the framework of intellectual Olympiads among the students of the Volga Federal district.
MarSU OPENED ITS OWN COWORKING CENTRE
On February 8 the first coworking center was opened on the third floor of a new teaching and laboratory building in MarSU . Now, if students want to prepare for the creative festivals, engaged in social work, or project activities, there is an alternative office for them.
SCIENCE FESTIVAL IN MarSU
On February 11, 2017 on the basis of Mari State University will be held the Science Festival.
The Science Festival was designed for the widest audience. The main purpose of such a large-scale scientific holiday - a clear and accessible language to tell the public, what do the scientists, how scientific research improves the quality of life, what prospects it opens for the modern man, to popularize the fundamental knowledge and thus attract as many young people as possible.
Victoria Semenova, 4th-year student of International Relations, Institute of National Culture and Intercultural Communication won a scholarship under the program Stipendium Hungaricum.
Agreement on cooperation between Mari State University and Investigative Department of Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation in the Republic of Mari El has been signed on December 30.
SCIENTIST OF MARSU TOOK PART IN INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE IN LATVIA
From 5th to 8th of December International Research Conference «Demographic Challenges and Urban Development in Post-socialist Countries» took place in University of Latvia.
SOLOISTS OF THE DANCE THEATRE “TSARMIS” AT THE INTERNATIONAL COMPETITION NAMED AFTER MAHMOUD ESAMBAEV
From 15 to 19 October in the city of Grozny was held the 7th International Festival-Competition of Solo Dance named after Mahmoud Esambaev. It was attended by about 130 dancers from 7 countries and 26 regions of Russia. Dancers in the competition took part in the following categories: “Solo dance”, “Pair Dance”, “Group Dance” (up to 4 people).
MEETING OF STUDENTS IN INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS WITH A POLITICAL SCIENTIST FROM BULGARIA
Russian universities that are located away from the capitals are not spoiled by the attention of foreign experts in international relations. That’s why when we have an opportunity to invite them, the students of international relations have a rare occasion to discuss topics concerning their future profession. This was the case for international relations students (generally freshmen) of the Institution of National Culture and Intercultural Communications, when a famous Bulgarian political analyst Georgiy Ivanovich Kolarov has arrived on a meeting.
OUR STUDENTS WORKED AS YOUNG PIONEER LEADERS IN CRIMEA
During this summer many students from the Institute of Pedagogics and Psychology of MarSU worked as Young Pioneer leaders in the Republic of Crimea. What is to be a young pioneer leader? How was it to work on the bank of Black Sea? A 3rd year student, Valeriya Osokina told us about it.
Freshmen of the Institute of National Culture and Intercultural Communication (INCIC) met young and talented actors of the Mari Drama Theatre on October 4. Akpars Ivanov and Alexey Yunusov gave them a master class on actor mastery.
INDIVIDUAL SAMBO CHAMPIONSHIP TOOK PLACE AT MARSU
Open individual sambo championship took place in sports hall of MarSU on October 1. Besides the students of MarSU fighters from Interregional Open Social Institute, Construction Technical School and other hobby clubs of our city took part in the Championship.
