Preparatory Department

The Preparatory Department of Mari State University provides training for foreign students in the Russian language and other general academic subjects to ensure their successful continuation of studies at the university.

Fields of Study

Biomedical Profile (Russian language, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Social Studies and History, Socio-cultural adaptation);

Humanities Profile (Russian language; Literature, History, Social Studies, Computer Science, Socio-cultural adaptation);

Economics Profile (Russian language; Mathematics, History, Social Studies, Computer Science, Socio-cultural adaptation);

Engineering and Technology Profile (Russian language; Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, History and Social Studies, Socio-cultural adaptation);

Natural Science Profile (Russian language; Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, History, Socio-cultural adaptation).

Application Deadline:

Until December 30, 2026 – for the full course of study at the preparatory department;

Until April 3, 2027 – for the Russian language course.

Required Documents for Admission:

International passport + notarized translation

National passport (internal passport)

Secondary education certificate (diploma) + notarized translation

Vaccination certificate (Form 063)

HIV-negative certificate

Medical certificate (Form 086-у) specifying the physical education health group

6 photographs (3 x 4 cm)

ALL DOCUMENTS MUST BE TRANSLATED INTO RUSSIAN AND NOTARIZED.
