In the Republic of Mari El graduates of the Farmer School received diplomas
In Mari El a solemn ceremony of handing state diplomas to the students of the second stream of an extensive educational project of Rosselkhozbank "Farmer School", which is supported by the RSHB and the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation.
Twenty-five beginning farmers of Mari El, who passed the competitive selection, for two months received new knowledge for creating and developing their agribusiness - they studied legal and financial aspects of farming, marketing, got acquainted with the latest agricultural technologies, and had practical training at the leading enterprises of the industry.
The training took place at the Agrarian and Technological Institute of Mari State University (ATI MarSU) in three areas: "Beekeeping and processing of bee products", "Milk production and cheese-making", "Fruit growing, vegetable growing and processing of fruit, berry products".
"Our leading teachers have made every effort to improve the level of farmers' skills for successful business in the agrarian sphere," said Rector of Mari State University Mikhail Shvetsov. - We hope that all trainees of the educational project gained invaluable knowledge, which will definitely be used in practice".
The professional retraining programme involved not only lectures and field studies at agricultural enterprises, but also the development of their own business plan for the creation and development of agribusiness. "We saw that the students were responsible both for their training and for their certification papers," said Deputy Minister Lyudmila Smirnova. - Many of them have serious intentions to develop their business, to implement their own business projects, which means that we will get new specialists in the agricultural sector, and this is very good.

"The launch of the Farmer's School is a new experience for our region and the project, and according to the feedback from the trainees, it turned out to be very successful," the branch manager noted. - Thanks to the project partners and integrators, the farmers were involved in the training process as much as possible. We now expect the graduates to be as involved as possible in their business with the new knowledge".
