Faculty trains economists and managers for different sectors of the economy. Teachers and students are engaged into research work, participate in various scientific conferences. Students of the Institute annually undergo practical training in various organizations and institutions of the republic and abroad, including Germany, the USA, Finland, England and other countries.

Students can also receive additional education at the Junior Academy of Public Administration in Republic of Mari El, which gives the right to conduct professional activities in the system of state and municipal administration.

While studying, students win grants for the implementation of their own ideas, receive advices from Russian and international business trainers. The graduates of the institute, as highly qualified specialists, are successfully employed.

There are Department of Small and Medium Business Management, Department of Applied Statistics and Informatics, Department of Economics.
