The Faculty provides classical university education. The classes are hold by 9 doctors of sciences, 32 candidates of science, acting judges.

New effective teaching methods have been implemented such as simulation trials (a special “courtroom”), video presentations of skills for interviewing and advising clients, case method, etc. Multimedia interactive materials are used. Training sessions are held in modern classrooms equipped with the modern technical training tools. The library of the faculty is fully computerized and has about 100 thousand publications.

There are Department of Theory and History of State and Law, Department of Constitutional and Administrative Law, Department of Civil Law and Proceeding, Department of Private Law of Russia and Foreign Countries, Department of Criminal Law and Proceeding, Department of General Legal Disciplines.

The Legal Clinic of the Faculty provides free legal consulting for the people of the Republic, including university students.
