MarSU celebrated Knowledge Day 2025

The highlights of the day included the student parade and the ceremonial assembly, where the university rector addressed students and faculty with parting words. He emphasized that the new academic year is not just about lectures and exams, but also about opportunities for self-fulfillment, scientific discoveries, a vibrant student life, and, of course, family. The event's honorary guests included Yuri Zaytsev, Head of the Mari El Republic; Konstantin Kosachev, Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council and Representative of the Government of the Mari El Republic to the Federation Council; Larisa Yakovleva, First Deputy Chairman of the State Assembly of the Mari El Republic; Sergey Mukhortov, Minister of Sport of the Mari El Republic; Maxim Baukov, Manager of the Mari El Branch of Sberbank; and Lyudmila Purtova, Chairperson of the Regional Organization of the All-Russian Trade Union of Education in the Mari El Republic, who delivered important parting words to the first-year students.

Special congratulations were extended to the first-year students on this day, who, after the official opening, attended their first faculty meetings and mentor hours to get to know their classmates and the curriculum better.

But the celebration didn't end there. In the evening, the traditional academic atmosphere gave way to the energy of creativity and music. A large-scale welcome party was organized especially for the students of MarSU.

The evening's vibrant highlight was a performance by the popular band "GLYANETS," which thrilled the crowd with their hits. The students sang and danced to the vibrant rhythms, creating a truly festive atmosphere. Furthermore, the audience enjoyed a rich concert program featuring performances by talented student groups from the university. Dancing, singing, and original genres all demonstrated the multifaceted and creative talent of MarSU's youth.

Also a raffle was held for all guests to win valuable gifts and university-branded merchandise, adding a touch of excitement and allowing several lucky winners to take home not only memorable experiences but also cool prizes.
