A round table titled "University Bridge: Russia and India in the BRICS Scientific and Educational Space" was held at Mari State University

This year’s meeting was particularly significant: Russian President Vladimir Putin and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi had recently held talks at the BRICS summit. The agreements reached between them have set a clear direction for academic cooperation as well. Participants in the round table focused specifically on the outcomes of the summit and the new prospects it creates for university-based research and science.

For many years, Mari State University has consistently supported Russia’s commitment to strengthening friendly and mutually beneficial relations with India. The university contributes to this bilateral dialogue by fostering concrete joint projects that open up new horizons for students and researchers alike.

It is particularly noteworthy that students from the Mari State University Medical Institute took part in this dialogue—future professionals who are already actively engaged in international scientific discourse.
