The All-Russian Scientific and Practical Conference dedicated to the 300th anniversary of the Prosecutor's Office of the Russian Federation was held at MarSU

The All-Russian Scientific and Practical Conference dedicated to the 300th anniversary of the Prosecutor's Office of the Russian Federation which was organized by MarSU together with the Prosecutor's Office of the Republic of Mari El was held at MarSU on October 21.

The purpose of the conference was to discuss and analyze topical issues of human rights protection and the Russian law and order by the prosecution authorities.

The conference was attended by scientists from the Research Institute of the Academy of the Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation from Moscow, Kazan (Republic of Tatarstan) and Simferopol (Republic of Crimea), representatives of prosecutors, university professors and students.

The Prosecutor of the Republic of Mari El Sergey Belyakov and the Rector of the Mari State University Mikhail Shvetsov addressed the conference participants with a welcoming speech, noting the role and importance of the Prosecutor's Office as the main body for overseeing the rule of law.

The plenary session included 3 reports:

- Alexander Vinokurov, Doctor of Law, Professor of the Research Institute of the Academy of the General Prosecutor's Office of the Russian Federation, Honorary Worker of the Prosecutor's Office of the Russian Federation, Moscow. Report: "Law enforcement: evolution of subject matter and limits over the past 100 years";

- Natalia Ivantsova, Professor of the Department of Criminal Law and Procedure, Mari State University, Yoshkar-Ola. Report: "Counteracting the criminal hierarchy by means of criminal law repression (Art. 210-1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation)";

- Ilnur Nafikov, candidate of legal sciences, Mari interdistrict environmental prosecutor. Report: “The main directions of supervisory activities of environmental prosecutors. Topical Issues of Law Enforcement Practice ".

Within the framework of the scientific and practical conference, the work of 3 sections was organized:

Section No. 1 "Topical issues of the implementation of the prosecutor's office supervision of compliance with federal legislation"

Section No. 2 "Topical issues of the participation of the prosecutor in the consideration criminal cases by courts and oversight of countering corruption"

Section No. 3, which included students' reports on the implementation of prosecutorial supervision over the observance of environmental, labor and social law.

During the conference, theoretical and practical aspects of the implementation of prosecutorial supervision over compliance with federal and regional legislation, as well as topical issues of the participation of the prosecutor in the consideration of criminal cases by courts and oversight of anti-corruption were discussed.
