"Silver" volunteers are the gold of the republic

The center will bring together elderly volunteers from all the districts of the Republic and will ensure the creation of optimal conditions for self-realization of senior citizens through volunteer activities, improvement of social climate in the region, increasing social wellbeing and development of local communities.

The opening of the center also included a forum of "silver" volunteers "Young at heart", the participants of which were representatives of all districts of the republic, who presented the results of their activities and identified the prospects for their activities.

Rector of Mari State University Mikhail Shvetsov, First Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Republic of Mari El Mikhail Vasyutin, Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Republic of Mari El Olga Fedorova, Minister of Education and Science Larisa Revutskaya, Minister of Youth Policy, Sports and Tourism Lidia Batyukova, Minister of Social Development Marina Ostrovskaya, Head of the University of the Third Age of Mari El Natalia Morova took part in the grand opening ceremony.
