Science as art

We encounter them everywhere, but we are not used to noticing them yet. Among these projects we can distinguish special works and directions, which will tell what and where happened in the Universe millions and even billions of years ago, take a step towards infinite energy, help protect the planet from harmful vapors or protect humans from viruses. Each of these objects can be called a true work of art. From the conception and principle of operation, to the precision of each action, to the choreography in the movement of particles and the pattern of sound waves.

The Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation has created a website-exhibition, where you can learn more about nine of the brightest scientific projects of the Year of Science and Technology. And so that no one would doubt that the complexity of these projects and the genius of their implementation can be equated to art, the musical studio Monoleak presented these scientific achievements in the form of a music album "Sounds of Science".

The album consists of 9 compositions written according to the same principles by which each of the 9 objects works. Through these compositions, they want to convey the sensations, feelings and emotions that a neutrino telescope, a Covid-19 vaccine, a toroidal camera with magnetic coils or a synchrotron can evoke. After all, the beauty of art also lies in the fact that everyone can see something different in it. Turn on the compositions one at a time, close your eyes and imagine the beauty of the processes of these great objects.
