Mari State University is the leader in implementation of the program "School of recycling: electronics" in the Republic of Mari El

In just a few months Mari State University collected and recycled more than 25 tons of equipment, thanks to which the university took second place in the program in 2020-2021 and was awarded a letter of thanks from the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation. Mari State University also became the leader in implementation of the program in our region.

The program of the Environmental Management Fund "School of recycling: electronics" is implemented in eleven regions: Moscow, Moscow region, St. Petersburg, Leningrad, Nizhny Novgorod, Tambov, Tula, Ivanovo and Volgograd regions, the Republic of Mordovia and the Republic of Mari El. Its goal is to reduce environmental damage from e-waste dumping and to develop skills for separate collection of hazardous waste.

We try to instill the same values in our students. The students take part in all-Russian environmental actions, city-wide clean-up days, and are actively involved in project activities in this area. The inter-regional forum "Healthy Initiative" and the Mari State University Green Team are also held annually on the basis of the university.»
