On December 22 in the Ministry of Youth Policy, Sports and Tourism of the Republic of Mari El the volunteers who assisted in vaccination against coronavirus infection within the action "We Care Together" were awarded.
In 2020, a special role was played by the All-Russian rally #WeTogether, which brought people together and galvanized the volunteer community. The Regional Volunteer Center for Mutual Care #MyVmeste opened and is based at the Resource Center for Volunteer Support in the Republic of Mari El. Due to the start of a large-scale vaccination campaign in the Republic of Mari El on October 19 the volunteer center began providing assistance in vaccinating the population against coronavirus infection as part of the campaign "WeVmeste with Care". At vaccination points, 236 volunteers assist medical professionals and patients. Volunteers help to speed up the vaccination process, which makes the work of medical professionals easier.
Mari State University did not stand aside either. 33 Mari State University medical students work in the red zones in the medical institutions of the region. 49 students helped doctors in medical institutions of the city with paperwork. 16 students volunteered at the 122 service call centre for questions about coronavirus infection and to call a doctor.
