Discover Russia's national colouring through dance and music

On March 6 and 7, as a part of its tour around the country, the Mari opera and ballet theatre named after E. Sapaev hosted a concert of the Russian national show "Kostroma" where the pictures of the great past are brought to life through the stories of dance about different eras of the country, its heroes, immutable traditions and fairy tales. The show presents the history of our multinational state and the life of its peoples, and touches upon such fundamental historical events as the adoption of Christianity in Russia, the era of Tsarist and pre-revolutionary Russia, the establishment of Soviet power and the first flight into space.
