How many wonderful holidays there are in our world that we haven't even heard of! The International Friendship Club is always eager to tell us about each of them! Nowruz is next! It is one of the most ancient spring holidays. It is celebrated on March 21, the day of the vernal equinox, and is considered to be a favorite holiday in many countries of the Eurasian continent.
On March 20, the Republican Centre for Tatar Culture held a festival in honour of Nowruz.
A huge number of students and locals gathered to welcome spring in the Oriental way. Representatives from Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan and Tajikistan laid a table full of their traditional dishes, including pilau, Dograma and Kurtoba, which were a favorite dish of all students.
The day was extraordinary as the atmosphere at the festival was simply amazing
