Mari State University is working hard together with the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Mari El to resolve the issue of vaccination against COVID-19 for foreign students.

From 12 to 16 July, the first shift took place in the sports and recreation camp "Olympian" - "In a healthy body, a healthy mind". For five days, our students were involved in an entertainment and educational program that included team building, master classes, swimming, sports games, film screenings, campfire songs, a concert and, of course, a disco.

Crop diseases pose a serious threat to international food security, and the development of automated intelligent systems for their identification remains a complex scientific and technical problem. The combination of the rise in global smartphone penetration and the latest advances in computer vision made possible by deep learning techniques has paved the way for disease diagnosis using all kinds of mobile devices. In order to develop high-precision image classifiers for diagnosing plant diseases, it is necessary to have a sufficiently large dataset of images of diseased and healthy plants.

As part of the activities of the federal innovation platform "Implementation of the model of methodological support and support of distance learning in educational institutions" 54 teachers from 15 educational organizations of the Republic of Mari El were trained in the additional educational program for advanced training of teachers "Methodological support of distance learning based on LMS Moodle", having received professional competencies necessary for the implementation and use of modern digital technologies in education, as well as e-learning tools on the school.marsu.ru platform.

On July 1, in the space of collective work "Boiling point - Yoshkar-Ola", the Republican round table "Transformation of the content of pedagogical education: strategic priorities" was held.

On June 19, the admission campaign of 2021 began at Mari State University, which will last until July 15 for applicants applying for the results of entrance examinations and additional entrance examinations of a creative and (or) professional orientation, until July 29 - for applicants applying only on the basis of the USE results and Master's degree, until August 28 - for applicants for a second higher education (Faculty of Law).

On June 11, the Consul General of Turkmenistan in the Russian Federation (Kazan) visited the Republic of Mari El. During the visit, the Consul General met with the Head of the Republic of Mari El Alexander Evstifeev. The main topic for discussion was the prospects for the development of Turkmen-Russian interregional relations.

In the period from June 1 to 5, 60 contestants from various faculties and institutes demonstrated their professional skills and abilities, which were assessed by more than 80 experts from among university teachers, specialists from enterprises and organizations of the republic, teachers of secondary schools and teachers of the additional education system.
