On May 25th took place the Super Final of the University-wide English Language Contest, held at the University for the first time.

Agrarian and technological institute of Mari State University is constantly looking for new ways to improve the food security conditions of the region and the country. Another step was the opening of the experimental laboratory of siti-farming.

On May 24, 2011 Mari State University and the regional branch of the Association "Russian Historical Society" in the Republic of Mari El signed an agreement on cooperation.

On May 19th the Faculty of Law of Chuvashia State University named after I. N. Ulyanov held a regional contest "Soft Skills of a Lawyer" among law students and schoolchildren.

On May 14, 2022 for the fourth time the voluntary educational action "All-Russian Chemical Dictation" was held all over Russia. The event was organized by the Faculty of Chemistry at Lomonosov Moscow State University, Prosveshchenie Group of Companies, and the Association of Chemistry Teachers.

The All-Russian Forum "Wealth of Finno-Ugric Peoples" traditionally took place in the middle of May. The event, held on May 12-13 within the walls of Mari State University, was the ninth in a row and united students from the Republics of Mordovia, Udmurtia, Komi, Mari El, Tatarstan and Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug.

On May, 07th, 2022 in "Vityaz" soccer complex a soccer tournament dedicated to the Victory Day in the Great Patriotic War was held.

The expedition took place from April 23 to May 7 in the Kirovsky region of the Leningrad region near the tract Vinyagolovo. The team from the Republic of Mari El consisted of 11 searchers from the Mari State University team "Resurrection" and one soldier from the team "Defender" from the city of Volzhsk. It's not by chance that the Mari searchers for the 9th time choose the Leningrad region as the place for expedition: thousands of Soviet soldiers from the Mari land fought in the North-West direction. During the years of the Great Patriotic War the losses of the Red Army were enormous here - there will be enough work for the searchers for many years.
